Welcome to Washington's 101 and KBSG-LP!

Good morning!  We're back on the air!  It's 86 degrees in the radio room, but it's a lot cooler than the 97 that it had been!

The Puget Sound is experiencing an extreme heat wave with temperatures in the high 90's to low 100's.  The radio room here is not air conditioned and the equipment is suffering through the heat (not to mention the station staff!)  We're giving the gear a well needed rest and we'll sign back on at 6:00 am tomorrow morning.

We've been able to score an LPFM license for the Snoqualmie Valley!  This something that is virtually impossible to do.  But, we did it.

We have a lot of work to do to put Washington's 101 onto the new station.  It's going to take time to get the music onto the new frequency.  I don't have a lot of details right now as we are in the planning stages.  Keep watching our blog for more information and comments on building a new radio station.

We are now airing public service announcements twice an hour during the week.  Snoqualmie Valley groups are welcome to send announcements for air on the station.  Please email us for more information.

We are now presenting hourly news headlines at the top of every hour during the weekdays.

We made it!  We are back on the Internet and should be back on the air this weekend.  We've changed our playback system, so there might be some glitches along the way.  Please bear with us as we go through some growing pains.

Our move has been postponed due to circumstances out of our control.  The good news?  AM1630 stays on the air longer!  As soon as we know when we'll move, we'll post it!

I realize this sort of comes out of left field, but the station is moving effective next week.  We will shut down on Saturday, Feb 21, in order to pack up the equipment.  We still have to order the internet move and the phone line move.  Hopefully, we shouldn't be down for very long.  This location should be a more permanent home, at least for now.

I realized it's been a few weeks since I posted.  Needless to say, we're back on the air.  We were without power for about 24 hours due to the flooding.  We didn't get hit by the flood, but downtown Snoqualmie did.

On another note, this year's Railroad Days celebration will only be one day as opposed to three days as in the past.  The event promoters dropped the festival with no one to step in to run the festival.  Fortunately, the Northwest Railway ...

We're currently off the air due to a power outage in downtown Snoqualmie.  The rest of the Ridge has power, but our little segment of the Ridge does not.  The power company has not given an ETA for restoration.  We'll get back on the air as soon as we can.
