Rain, wind and flooding

East Hill Radio Posted by East Hill Radio at 11:00 PM on January 06, 2009 Comments comments (0)

The Snoqualmie area is getting more bad weather in the form of high winds, heavy rains, and potential flooding.  The Snoqualmie River was running high this afternoon at the SR202 bridge.  Also, there was a lot of water coming from the Raging River at Fall City.  Snow levels have risen to 6000 feet, which means the three feet of snow that just fell will be melting!  The bad weather is expected to continue into Thursday, with possible clearing on Friday.

Snow

We've gotten snow like I have not seen in a long time.  Snoqualmie suffered through a blizzard on Saturday, with drifting snow and 50 mph winds.  I will be glad to see more normal weather.  The rain is looking good all of a sudden.
